Director of Pupil Services - District Email Phone: 920-793-4560 My name is Bridgett Klein and I am thrilled to serve the staff, students, families and community of Two Rivers as Pupil Services Director. Working with individuals with diverse needs and those that make up their circles of support is my true passion and I cannot wait to collaborate with all of you on their behalf.
I grew up in Two Rivers and have lived here almost my entire life. After high school, I attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in history. I earned my initial teaching certification in social studies and history through Concordia University and my cross-categorical certification in special education with an emphasis on intellectual disabilities from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. I also earned a master’s degree in educational leadership from National Louis University in Chicago. I have spent the majority of my career teaching in the Manitowoc Public School District as a special education teacher (ID/SLD/EBD) and transition teacher in the Next Step Transition Program. I also served the Green Bay Area Public Schools as a program support teacher, leading the district’s programming for students with intellectual disabilities. While it has been an absolute pleasure to serve the students, families, staff and community of Manitowoc and Green Bay, home is where my heart is. I bring with me four children-Anna (9), Ben (8), Kate (6) and Sam (3). My husband, Kevin, is also a graduate of Two Rivers and works at Burger Boat Co. Together we enjoy camping, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
My philosophy for students centers on inclusion, high expectations and relationships. I believe that ALL students can contribute and learn at high levels when they are included with non-disabled peers to the greatest extent possible, when expectations are set at high, but attainable levels and when students and their families have a circle of support that is engaged and collaborative in helping them develop meaningful relationships within the school and community. Early childhood thru high school and transition, we are all integral parts of a continuum, working collaboratively to build up our students and their families so they can lead full, happy and meaningful lives when they leave us.
